Humans are overwhelming the earth’s natural systems. Plants and animals are dying out and the climate is changing. All natural systems are important but forests have an especially vital role in safeguarding the world’s climate, particularly the great rainforests of the Amazon, the Congo and south-east Asia. The Greens have ecological wisdom as a basic principle.

How do we give effect to our commitments and protect biodiversity, water and nature while respecting the rights of local communities and being fair to developing countries?

Campaign against excessible Biofuel production

Project Abstract: 
We Greens call for international campaign against import or production of agricultural crops which are only used for bio-fuels. The secondary damage from production of bio-fuels must be stopped, which causes deforestation, crisis of biodiversity or poverty in developing countries.
