Campaign against excessible Biofuel production

Project Scope:
Multi-National
Project Abstract:
We Greens call for international campaign against import or production of agricultural crops which are only used for bio-fuels. The secondary damage from production of bio-fuels must be stopped, which causes deforestation, crisis of biodiversity or poverty in developing countries.

US (Bush) administration encourages increased production of corn crops, which can be worth using bio-fuels very effectively. Instead, they strongly promote to import large amount of soybeans from South American countries like Brazil.
The result is that rapid soy production there expands soy field overall then let it destruct Amazon forest rapidly, for example. We Greens must stop that critical behavior as soon as possible, because loss of Amazon forest leads great loss of biodiversity as well as loss of forest sink for GHG emissions reduction
in the global scale.
